Hi there - great post and I'll second just about every point you make. I have experienced mental health issues of my own, reeped the rewards of connecting with like minded people on-line, suffered the consequences of not having information to hand - even at a local level, and started my own personal mission to educate mental health professionals on why they should and how they can become more active on-line.... If the mental health camp uk can bring people together to help create a wave of change - then bring it on...
I also believe that given the current political climate in the UK and uncertain times with the NHS and treatment for people experiencing mental health issues - taking an empowered and proactive approach to making information and services accessible online, in an enterprising manner - could prove invaluable to millions of sufferers around the country...
I'd love to be involved in anyway I can... resources permitting :-)
